SEOUL – March 5, 2015 Mark Lippert, the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea was attacked by a Korean nationalist while attending a breakfast forum in the capital city.  Lippert, was able to walk away from the attack.  President Obama called Lippert to verify he was ok.

The assailant, 55 year-old Kim Ki-Jong, used a fruit knife in the attack.  He was quickly caught by police, Reuters reports.
